Fascinating lake with an ancient hut ...the water had frozen in parts and looked beautiful with the ducks and the reeds.
Great walks around the lake, a fantastic bird hide nearer Llangasty. Worth taking a picnic to and enjoying the lake either on a boat or on the common.
Very pretty area limited parking, great for messing about on the water. The cafe was closed, probably because it's the winter season. Been many years since I last visited and I thought a lot had been fine to it, but it doesn't appear to have changed
Beautiful, peaceful lake in the black mountains. Note, the common is very flooded in the winter which cuts off footpaths.There is a seasonal bar, cafe, shop and restaurant at the lakeside and two good pubs in the village.
One of the best places to stop off in mid Wales. The views are amazing, there's alot of history to take in and also activities too.If your a keen bird watcher or fishermen your in for a treat, so much wildlife on offer.If your after a bit of an adventure hire a rowing boat and explore the lake. The views of the Brecon Beacons are amazing.
