Very nice old hotel with the old castle brickwork adjoining. A good amount of parking and we stayed in a nice room. Would have been 5 stars but for waiting 10mins to be seated in bistro. That said, a great service & very reasonable food. Nice help yourself breakfast. Very friendly staff with good local information. W.C again.
Stayed 2 nights in January. Lovely hotel and nice meals. Well decorated room a bit on the small size but adequate for short stay. Great view over the River and the town of Brecon with the Beacons in the distance. Would definitely stay again.
A little warm for me. Not all that bad a thing really. I know this is an older building, so be ready for uneven and squeaky floors. Clean and tidy and seems well run. We stayed here for one night following a Christmas dinner at the hotel. They have a great selection of beers, several local breweries are represented. Well worth considering for a stay in Brecon to see the mountains and countryside.
9 of us enjoyed a delicious meal here on 10/12. My only complaint was the Formica tables. No tablecloth! Felt like eating in a cafe.
Just love this hotel. Staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are lovely, food is lush and the drink and scenery that comes with it are breath taking. Cant wait till I go back.
